Timothy H. Brennan, CPA, MST
Tim is responsible for the day to day management of Bederson’s Tax Department. In addition to performing research of complex tax issues, he coordinates continuing professional education programs and is responsible for the communication of all tax developments. He is also responsible for the facilitation of quality tax preparation and review standards for all tax returns.
With significant experience in compliance and in dealing with the Internal Revenue Service and state tax departments, he is well-practiced in resolving tax notices, different types of tax and compliance audits and penalty assessments.
Prior to joining Bederson, Tim worked in the Tax Department of a big four accounting firm serving Fortune 100 clients. He has been featured in business and industry publications on tax-related subjects having to do with privately-held businesses and individuals.
Tim is a licensed CPA in the State of New Jersey. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA), where he is a member of the NJCPA State and Federal tax Committee. Tim is an active member of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce, where he served as president from 2017 to 2019. He also participates in West Orange-based youth organizations in a leadership capacity.
Tim earned a B.S. (Bachelor of Science) in accounting from Rutgers University.
Tim and his family reside in Essex County.
