Bederson is pleased to support Alzheimer’s New Jersey’s first-ever West Orange regional walk, which will be held on May 16 in South Mountain at Clipper Pavilion and Paddle Boat Landing. Registration begins at 8:30AM. Socially distanced sponsor tables will be set up with safety protocols in place.  Walkers will enjoy a scenic stroll around the Orange Reservoir walking path, beginning at 10AM.  McLoone’s Boathouse Safari Mini Golf and Turtle Back Zoo are close by offering families a full day of fun.

Today, over 600,000 New Jersey residents have Alzheimer’s or are caring for someone with the disease. New Jersey families desperately need help navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease now during the pandemic and beyond. And that is what  support of this year’s Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s will do and why community support is so important.

Bederson Partner, Matt Schwartz, who serves as board chair of Alzheimer’s NJ, and chief marketing officer, Susan Wernick, a member of the Alzheimer’s NJ event committee, are lending a hand in the drive for support and participation.

West Orange Mayor Robert Parisi has released the below proclamation declaring May 16 as Alzheimer’s Awareness Day in West Orange. Local schools, businesses, organizations and individuals are encouraged to participate by putting together a walk team, joining a team, supporting a walker, serving as a sponsor or simply making a donation. 100% of all funds raised will go directly to providing compassionate programs and services to New Jersey individuals and families living with Alzheimer’s .
